Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

Mullen High School is seeking to hire a faith-filled, energetic, committed person to be the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and part time Physical Education Teacher. The applicant would be expected to develop, implement and manage individual and group strength and conditioning training programs, nutrition programs and injury prevention programs for male and female student-athletes participating in Mullen High Schools athletics programs. The applicant must also be able to plan, implement and educate students in Physical Education courses.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design and supervise weight training and conditioning programs for all men's and women's sports at Mullen High School throughout the year, including In season, Preseason and offseason
  • Operate and maintain the weight room at Mullen High School while overseeing the safety condition of the weight room and training facilities
  • Teach Physical Education classes
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining positive working relationship with all coaching staffs
  • Develop nutrition plans for teams and individuals
  • Deliver sports nutrition information to all teams each season
  • Enforce discipline and sportsmanship behavior at all times. Ensure that all of Mullen High School policies and procedures are followed by the students under your care.
    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Secondary Physical Education teaching license (current or will be obtained within two years of employment)
    • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification
    • National Strength and Conditioning Association Certification
    • Two years of experience at the High School level
