Men's and Women's Basketball Athletic Performance Intern

The University of California, Los Angeles is accepting applications for the position of Men's and Women's Basketball Athletic Performance Intern. These hires will be specific to basketball only and will not be involved with Football and other Olympic sports. This internship will run from May 1st, 2017 to April 30th, 2018. Duties include assisting the full-time Men's and Women's Basketball Athletic Performance coaching staff in all aspects of the UCLA Men's and Women's Basketball Athletic Performance program including but not limited to warm ups, strength and speed training, conditioning, and athlete assessments.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree or a degree in process in an exercise science related field, CPR and First Aid certification, and a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Effective August 1st, 2015, NCAA legislation mandates that only certified personnel can coach athletes unsupervised, therefore, CSCCA or CSCS certification is preferred. A minimum time commitment of 30 hours per week is required. These positions are for volunteer coaches and no compensation will be provided. Screening of applications has begun and will continue until all positions are filled.
