General Description:

  • Will be responsible for the programing of 2-3 Mount St. Mary's varsity sports.
  • Work effectively with a diverse population and provide a supportive, motivating and safe working environment for student-athletes
  • Assisting in the implementation of rehab programs prescribed by the doctors and sports medicine staff.
  • Assist in the maintenance of student-athlete records and monitor progress of training programs.
  • Aid in the general activities in varsity weight room and assist teams, coaches, staff and student-athletes as needed.
  • Compliance with NCAA, NEC, and MSM regulations.
  • Some weekend and holiday work will be required based on specific sports seasons and team travel.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or Related Field.
  • Candidates must hold an NCAA recognized certification by start date.
  • 1-2 years experience as a strength and conditioning volunteer/intern collegiate or professional level.
  • Candidates must possess strong communication skills and have the ability to effectively motivate, educate and assist student athletes.
  • Must maintain daily contact with the sports medicine staff, administrators and sport coaches.
  • Candidates must possess skills and proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).


  • Compensation includes a tuition waiver and stipend.
