The PART TIME (28 hours/week) assistant strength and conditioning coach will have the responsibility for designing a workout program and working regularly with assigned teams to develop their strength and conditioning as is specifically related to their sport. This position has no involvement with football.
Design, with full-time strength and conditioning coach's direction, and implement strength and conditioning programs for BYU's Division I athletic teams assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Assist with teams as assigned
Assist the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation and testing of the strength and conditioning program for all teams.
Assist in the maintenance of the strength and conditioning facility.
Any other duties as assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach.
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field required
Experience as an intern or volunteer strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level is required.
Experience with the Functional Movement Screen, Bod Pod, VO2 Max and lactate threshold testing and force plate analysis is preferred.
Either the SCCC certification from the CSCCa or the CSCS certification from the NSCA is required.
Knowledge of basic periodization principles, speed, agility, plyometric concepts and conditioning is required.
Strong desire to be a strength & conditioning coach is required.
Willingness to learn and take direction from a strength & conditioning coach is required.
