Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

The University of Hartford, a Division IAAA institution and a member of the America East Conference, is seeking qualified applicants for a certified Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. The person in this position will report directly to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Responsibilities: assist the head coach in the development and implementation of a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for 17 teams and approximately 350 student-athletes. This individual will work directly with all sport programs, head coaches, and in concert with the Sports Medicine staff and team doctors, to design sport-specific strength, conditioning, injury and rehabilitation programs. The assistant coach will help manage an internship program, oversee the facility and coordinate scheduling.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Minimum two years of experience in strength and conditioning at the collegiate level and demonstrated knowledge of exercise physiology and Kinesiology. SCCC certification strongly preferred, but CSCS and USAW will be considered. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, 10 months.
