University of Washington Olympic Strength and Conditioning department is now accepting applications for volunteer intern positions for Fall 2017. Interns will assist the strength and conditioning coaches in the day-to-day operations of the department and will have the opportunity to work with all of the University of Washington's Men's and Women's Olympic Sports. In addition, the educational curriculum includes weekly round table discussion, assignments, and projects led by the strength and conditioning staff. Successful candidates must display a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. In addition, they must be committed to enhancing themselves and the department through a continued eagerness to learn and develop professionally. Candidates must possess or be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in exercise science or a related field. Finally, candidates must be working toward or currently certified by the CSCCA or NSCA. This is an unpaid volunteer position primary responsibilities with the Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Department.
Dates: Early September to early December
