GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, responsible for the assisting in the direction of all phases of the program, including coaching, coordinating the admission of prospective student-athletes; scheduling and budgeting; managing equipment orders and distribution; committing to the academic progress and success of student-athletes; assist with the scouting and recruitment of student-athletes; assist in the coordination of fundraising, camps, clinics and special events.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and implement the strength programs for assigned athletic teams, provide athletes with instruction for safe and proper lifting technique, assist with the day to day operation of the University's varsity weight room
Daily communication with sport coaches, athletic trainers, and other duties assigned by the head strength & conditioning coach.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree required. College coaching and recruiting experience preferred. Must be accepted into a CMU graduate program.
Either holding or pursuing SCCC Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
First Aid, CPR, AED; ability to lift 50lbs, stand on your feet for periods of three to five hours at a time for contests and games.
Set up and equipment for team lifts

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Public Speaking abilities; Personnel Management Skills & Experiences; Microsoft Word

OTHER INFORMATION AND ATTRIBUTES:

CPR/First Aid/AED Certification preferred. Currently hold or pursuing SCCC, CSCS, or USA Weight Lifting Certification. Collegiate level coaching experience preferred
