The Performance Coach contributes to Sports Reality Performance success by conducting themselves in a professional demeanor that exemplifies the company's Mission and Vision. They are also responsible to help improve the overall success of the business by delivering world-class performance training. This position is a part time hourly position.
Responsibilities and job functions include, but are not limited to:
Model and promote Sports Reality Performance Mission and Vision through
appropriate behavior, appearance, words, and actions
Assist in implementing, and administering strength and speed/agility programs unique to assigned sport and to each individual athlete, using discretion and independent judgment.
Demonstrate good judgment in coaching responsibilities, including orienting athletes and staff to proper equipment use, appropriate lifting, and running mechanics, and use of the most up to date Sports Performance concepts.
Participate in clinics and lectures on Sports Performance upon request.
Monitor appearance, maintenance, and organization of facility and equipment.
Assist in the education and enforcement of Sports Reality rules.
Demonstrate good communication skills.
Contributes to a positive high energy environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
Contribute to the overall success of the Sports Reality by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Willing to develop relationships with coaches, athletes, and parents.
Reports to the Director of Sports Performance.
Desired Skills and Experience
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in physical education, exercise science or related field. Also preferred is one or more of these certifications SCCC, CSCS, or USAW certification; CPR and First Aid certifications; previous coaching experience.
