The University of Texas Athletic Performance staff is looking for Spring 2018 Interns. Applications will be reviewed October 16-November 6, 2017. This is a volunteer opportunity with a commitment of 20hrs a week.

Job Description: Assist the sports performance staff in all day-to-day operations. Duties will include but are not limited to; assisting staff in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for Olympic Sports, setup and breakdown of training equipment and assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of weight room, participating in our curriculum and professional development program, and completing assignments including a semester long culminating project.

Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelors or Master's Degree in exercise science or a related field. Experience in a collegiate setting, and a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level. Prospective interns must pass a background check to be eligible for the position. Certification or working towards certifications with the CSCCa-SCCC, NSCA-CSCS, and/or USAW is preferred.

Compensation: This is an UNPAID POSITION.
