Jacksonville University Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning VOLUNTEER INTERNS for the SPRING 2018 semester. The approximate start date is January 8, 2018 through April 27, 2018.
Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for football and all 18 varsity Olympic Sports, daily maintenance and upkeep of equipment in the weight room, assisting in teaching proper technique to student athletes, and professional development. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Interns will receive experience working for a Division I University, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Candidates must have a strong work-ethic and a strong desire to be in the collegiate strength and conditioning coaching field. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (CSCCA-SCCC, NSCA, CSCS, USAW) are preferred or in pursuit of certification. Candidates must be CPR certified.
