Missouri University of Science & Technology (Missouri S&T) is currently offering a strength & conditioning internship. The internship will be for the duration of the Spring 2018 semester starting on January 8th and ending May 4th. This internship will be an educational opportunity including the completion of an internship curriculum along with potential for gaining experience working with a variety of teams, utilization of Excel for updating information, maintenance of a collegiate weight room, education in coaching techniques, etc. The selected candidate will receive close supervision in regard to the previous areas of possible experience. The primary goal of the internship will be to provide instruction and training in the field of collegiate strength & conditioning in order to prepare the intern for a career in this field.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1) pursuit or possession of a degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field; 2) CPR/AED certification; 3) strong desire to pursue a career in strength & conditioning at the collegiate level; 4) plans to take the SCCC or CSCS exams (or current CSCS or SCCC certification).
