The University of Cincinnati Sports Performance department is looking for two (2-3) qualified and hardworking interns with a strong passion for Strength and Conditioning for the Spring Semester of 2018. THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP, but will provide valuable experience and an opportunity for advancement in the field of Strength and Conditioning. Potential part time employment within the university could possibly be arranged to help with expenses. Athletic gear will be provided to selected candidates. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: assisting with the supervision and training of UC's Division I intercollegiate athletics programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties, set-up and breakdown for daily training sessions, and completion of the intern curriculum. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic and a desire to become a Strength and Conditioning professional in the Collegiate, High School, or Professional ranks. Preferred candidates should be working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in or related to the field of Exercise Science; have or working towards an accredited certification (SCCC, CSCS, or USAW)and candidate must have current CPR/First Aid Certification. Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate/professional setting and a personal involvement in training for sport. All potential candidates are strongly advised to make sure this internship is economically feasible before applying. The internship will begin on Friday January 5 th .
