Summary
Indiana State University is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning position. Candidates must be accepted into a graduate program at Indiana State University, or in process of applying. Prospective employees must be motivated, disciplined, and cooperative. This position will start in January of 2017.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or Related Field
  • Previous internship experience in the collegiate athletic setting, AT LEAST 1-3 years.
  • CPR/First-Aid/AED Certification
  • Certification by the CSCCa or the NSCA. (Certification must be already obtained not in the process of getting one. Applications without obtained certification will be disregarded)
  • Punctuality
  • Enthusiasm
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work early mornings and late evenings.

    COMPENSATION:
    Full Graduate Tuition up to 18 credit hours per year, and stipend for the academic year.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    This position will be responsible for the design and implementation of the training programs of 1-3 teams that are assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. This position will also assist the full-time staff with other team responsibilities as requested. Daily facility and equipment maintenance, weekly staff meetings, daily/weekly communication with assigned sport coaches and athletic trainers, and assist in supplement distribution.
