Summary Indiana State University is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning position. Candidates must be accepted into a graduate program at Indiana State University, or in process of applying. Prospective employees must be motivated, disciplined, and cooperative. This position will start in January of 2017.
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or Related Field
Previous internship experience in the collegiate athletic setting, AT LEAST 1-3 years.
Certification by the CSCCa or the NSCA. (Certification must be already obtained not in the process of getting one. Applications without obtained certification will be disregarded)
Strong work ethic
Ability to work early mornings and late evenings.
COMPENSATION: Full Graduate Tuition up to 18 credit hours per year, and stipend for the academic year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position will be responsible for the design and implementation of the training programs of 1-3 teams that are assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. This position will also assist the full-time staff with other team responsibilities as requested. Daily facility and equipment maintenance, weekly staff meetings, daily/weekly communication with assigned sport coaches and athletic trainers, and assist in supplement distribution.
