Indiana State University is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Strength & Conditioning position. This position is working with Football ONLY. Prospective employees must be motivated, disciplined, and cooperative. This position will start in January of 2017.
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or Related Field
Master degree strongly preferred.
Former playing experience as a college athlete (Football).
Previous internship experience in the collegiate athletic setting, AT LEAST 1-3 years.
Certification by the CSCCa or the NSCA. (Certification must be already obtained not in the process of getting one. Applications without obtained certification will be disregarded)
Strong work ethic
Ability to work early mornings and late evenings.
COMPENSATION: This is a paid position. Salary based on experience and qualifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position will be responsible for assisting the Director of Strength and Conditioning with football, will also assist the full-time staff with other facility responsibilities as requested. Must attend all football practice and meetings. Willing to work holidays and weekends. Daily facility and equipment maintenance, weekly staff meetings, daily/weekly communication with assigned sport coaches and athletic trainers, and assist in supplement distribution.
