Towson University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill Summer 2018 unpaid volunteer internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting while working with all 19 varsity teams. This internship will fulfill course credit if necessary. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in an extensive curriculum that will enhance both scientific and practical knowledge pertaining to the field. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the implementation of strength and conditioning programs, attending to daily maintenance of training facilities, and administrative duties as assigned by strength coaches. Qualified candidates should have a strong desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach and be pursuing a bachelors/masters in exercise science or a related field. Candidates should be certified in First Aid/CPR/AED and be pursuing SCCC or CSCS certifications. Interns will gain hands on experience and the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of strength and conditioning.
