Loyola University Maryland Strength and Conditioning department is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Interns for the Fall 2018 semester. Interns will gain knowledge and experience in a Division 1 setting working with a variety of sports teams. Intern duties will include assisting with the supervision and execution of training programs for various sports, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities, and completing the professional development curriculum set out by the strength and conditioning staff. Intern education will include staff lead discussions, readings, and assignments designed to progress interns into coaches capable of effectively creating and implementing high quality training programs. Qualifications: Candidates must possess or be in pursuit of an Exercise Science, or related degree, must be CPR/AED/First Aid Certified, and must possess or be in pursuit of certification through the CSCCa (SCCC) or the NSCA (CSCS). Candidates must also possess a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate or professional level.
