Augsburg University (MN - DIII) is accepting applications for Strength & Conditioning Interns for the 2018 Fall Semester. Augsburg is a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Augsburg's 19 Division III intercollegiate athletic programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; and professional development throughout internship program.
Qualifications include: working towards an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Strength and Conditioning or related degree, as well as a strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to further one's career in the field of Strength & Conditioning.
Preferred qualifications include: SCCC, CSCS, or USAW certifications; CPR/AED certification and previous coaching experience.
This is an unpaid position. However, selected applicants will receive experience working with a wide variety of college athletes, better understand program design, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable.
This is also a part time position. Augsburg Strength and Conditioning shares the training center with the rest of the Augsburg Student Population, so there will be times when teams will not be training during the day. Expected hours per week will be 25-30 hours, potentially more depending on the week.
To apply, send your resume, a list of 3 professional references, and a letter of interest (preferably in ONE PDF if possible) to Assistant Strength & Conditioning Jake Meiller at firstname.lastname@example.org.
