Florida Atlantic University Olympic Sports Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. This is a 12-month full time appointment with salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience. The intended start date is August 2018. Responsibilities: Assist in all aspects of the FAU Olympic Sports Strength & Conditioning program, design and implementation of sport specific training programs for Baseball & 2-3 additional sports teams. The candidates past working experiences & strengths will be assessed in assignment of additional teams. Help mentor current/future Graduate Assistants, Interns, & Volunteer Strength & Conditioning coaches. Ability to effectively teach and execute proper technique of lifts and drills; supervision of team workouts; assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the FAU Weight Room & compliance with all appropriate university, C-USA Conference, and NCAA Rules/Regulations.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess at least a Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred) in an appropriate area of specialization with at least two years of experience in Strength & Conditioning at the NCAA, professional or Olympic level. CSCCa (SCCC), NSCA (CSCS), USAW, PES or FMS, as well as CPR / AED certification required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs & Strength & Conditioning related technology is highly encouraged.
