Creighton University?s Athletic Performance Department is currently accepting applications for the FALL 2018 semester. This is a PART-TIME, UNPAID INTERNSHIP that will expose participants to all facets of athletic performance in a Division I setting. Practical experiences include: hands on experience coaching and implementing Olympic lifts and other strength training movements, writing programs, facility maintenance, technology implementation, and management of the fueling station. Interns will have the opportunity to work with all 14 Olympic Sport Teams at Creighton University and have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities.
Qualifications: -Candidates must have a strong desire to become an athletic performance/strength and conditioning professional.
-Candidates must possess or be working toward a certification through the CSCCa, NSCA and/or USAW.
-Candidates must have outstanding work ethic, attention to detail, enthusiasm and must be punctual.
-Candidates must be pursuing/have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field.
-Candidate must be available for 10-20hrs per week.
-Candidate must have previous experience in a strength and conditioning program, collegiate athletic experience or experience training other people.
