Appalachian State University Department of Athletics seeks highly motivated candidates for an Intern position to assist with implementation and supervision of strength and conditioning programs for intercollegiate sports. Primary responsibility will be assisting staff with all Olympic Sports programs.

A minimum of one year experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting is required. Experience with Olympic-style lifting, plyometric training and speed development is required. Successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills to teach/motivate a diverse population of student-athletes, interact with support staff and coaches. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in health/fitness, sport science or related field preferred. Candidate must be working toward certification from either the CSCCa - SCCC certification examination and/or NSCA - CSCS certification examination and have a current CPR and first aid certificate. This internship is for individuals who have the goal of being a collegiate strength & conditioning coach, others need not apply.

Compensation: Division I Intercollegiate experience, earned recommendation toward further success as a Strength & Conditioning Coach, and college credit toward graduation if applicable.
