University of Texas Football Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for Interns, for the 2019 Winter/Spring Off-Season Conditioning Program. Responsibilities include assisting the Football Strength Staff in all aspects of developing and implementing strength, speed/agility, conditioning, flexibility, mobility, and recovery protocols for the Football Team. Additional responsibilities will be to provide; daily weight room supervision, daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment, assist with and conduct performance and strength testing, completion of internship curriculum, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should be enrolled in or completing their Bachelors or Master's Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or a related field. Applicants should be certified in CPR/AED, and working towards certifications from any of the following organizations: CSCCa, NSCA, or USAW. Previous experience in an intercollegiate strength and conditioning program preferred.
Position: This is a non-paid internship position. The successful applicant(s) will receive course credit towards graduation (if applicable) and Division I FBS / Big 12 Conference strength and conditioning experience.
