The Rice University Football Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER coaches for the 2019 winter and spring off-season. The internship is scheduled to begin Monday, January 14th, 2019 and will run through Friday, April 12th, 2019 with the opportunity to earn a position on staff as one of the five designated strength & conditioning coaches. This is an unpaid position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable professional recommendation for advancement in the field of strength & conditioning.
Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of off-season training for the Rice Football team, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection, as well as participation in a vigorous internship curriculum.
Interns will also have the opportunity to assist in the design and implementation of various Olympic Sports training programs. Prerequisites include CPR/AED Certification, as well as completion of, or working towards, a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
