Georgia Southern University is currently accepting applications for 3 Spring 2019 volunteer internship positions. Qualified candidates would work with the Olympic Strength and Conditioning Department. This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the GSU Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of In and Off-Season programs for all Olympic sports, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands on experience training collegiate athletes. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a relentless work ethic. Must have or be working towards your SCCC or CSCS certification as well as USA Weightlifting. There is no monetary compensation so if this position is not an economically feasible option for you, please do not apply. There will be opportunities for you to work outside of the internship and discounted housing can be provided. Start date would be January 12 and continue through May 3.
