Northern Arizona University is currently accepting applications for our spring 2019 volunteer internship program. The internship will begin January 10th and conclude May 14th. Qualified candidates must possess a strong work ethic, display an eagerness to learn, and have experience in sports performance. THIS IS A VOLUNTARY POSITION AND WILL RECEIVE NO MONETARY COMPENSATION. If this is not economically feasible, do not apply.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess or are working towards certification through the CSCCa or NSCA, all applicants must have a current CPR/AED certification prior to the start date. Accepted applicants will be required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week that will include early mornings, evenings and weekends. Accepted applicants will also be eligible to apply internship hours towards undergraduate/graduate internship requirements.
Intern responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to the following:
1.) Assisting with the supervision of daily training,
2.) Setting up and breaking down equipment for training sessions,
3.) Assisting with routine maintenance of training facilities,
4.) Participation in weekly coaching education curriculum,
5.) Other duties assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning.
