Smith College is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a graduate assistant for the Smith College Strength & Conditioning Department. The position will start August 2019.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required and a certification from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) or a certification from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS)is required. Acceptance into a Master's program at Smith College is also required.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Responsibility for the year-round strength and conditioning programming for 3-4 varsity athletic teams.
Use technology such as Polar team 2 system and/or Push bands
Track and use Wellness, RPE, and Vert data to give feedback to coaches and manage the fatigue of student athletes
Teach fitness classes to undergraduate students.

Research opportunities with ESS involving data gathered on scholar athletes.
