Spring 2019 Athletic Performance Intern

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke Athletic Performance department is currently accepting applications for a highly motivated strength and conditioning intern for the Spring 2019 semester. UNCP is a highly competitive division II athletic department competing in the peach belt conference.

Responsibilities:
-Assist with total training needs of all 17 varsity sports (including football)
-Assist in maintenance of 2 athlete's only weight rooms
-Completion of Athletic Performance curriculum

Qualifications:
-CPR/AED/First Aid Certified
-Desire to further one's career in the strength and conditioning field
-Selected applicants will be subject to a background check prior to acceptance into the internship program

Preferred qualifications but not required:
-Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Exercise Science or related field
-SCCC, CSCS, USAW certifications
-Previous coaching experience

Compensation:
-No monetary compensation is provided
-Internship is mentor approved for SCCC exam
-Advancement in the field of strength and conditioning
-College credit if applicable
