Murray State University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning VOLUNTEER COACHES/INTERNS for the 2019 spring semester. Applicants will be involved in every process of a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. You will also be asked to be responsible for coaching your own group of student athletes in the weight room with each sport you are assigned. This is hands on experience daily with multiple student athletes. Other daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs, working and maintaining our nutrition program, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the workplace day in and day out, , and assist in creating a competitive training atmosphere. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Murray State is an approved mentor location for the CSCCa. This mentorship can be provided for applicants seeking to earn their SCCC. Our coaches will also help applicants seeking to earn other certification as well. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or a related field of study. Candidates must also have a desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach.
