Position Description: The Strength and Conditioning Assistant helps various sports teams with their strength and conditioning programs. Motivates student athletes with regards to strength and conditioning. Manages tracking of training sessions and test results. Assists with the enforcement and implementation of policies and procedures for the weight room.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to University, NCAA, and Big West/MPSF Conference rules and regulations. Ability to motivate student-athletes to perform to their optimal level. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience: Equivalent to six months of related experience involving developing and implementing strength and conditioning based programming. Bachelor's degree preferred.
