The University of Oregon Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for 4 Winter (January start) 2019 Semester. Candidates that are available for terms beyond winter are highly encouraged to apply. University of Oregon is an approved mentorship for the SCCC Certification. Interns who complete the allotted hours while demonstrating excellent practical knowledge will be eligible for endorsement. These are UNPAID positions and candidates are responsible for ensuring financial feasibility.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to; assisting with the administration and implementation of the strength and conditioning program for University of Oregon Football, set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and completion of the internship curriculum. Our internship curriculum will give you a solid foundation for program design, coaching methods, bio mechanics while giving you the opportunity to mentor under a MSCC that may provide you the required hours to obtain your SCCC through the CSCCa.

Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. Postgraduate candidates are also required to hold a certification from a recognized governing body (CSCCa or NSCA) and all undergraduate applicants should be working towards their certification. Applicants should also have CPR/AED certifications. Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate or professional setting.
