South Dakota State University, is accepting applications for qualified, highly motivated Graduate Assistants in Strength and Conditioning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting in design and implementation of strength & conditioning programs for assigned sports; provide proper instruction for safe and effective lifting techniques and equipment usage; supervise weight room day-to-day activities and conduct periodic performance & strength testing; communicate regularly with sport coaches and sports medicine personnel.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in sports sciences or related field/major, CPR certification and be certified through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) or National Strength & Conditioning Association (CSCS). In order to be awarded the position the candidate must be admitted to graduate school at South Dakota State University. Compensation includes tuition waiver and stipend.

Previous strength coaching experience preferred. Previous athletic experience preferred. Experience teaching the Olympic lifts preferred. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access strongly recommended. Consideration will be given to individuals who possess strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with integrity.
