Central Michigan University: The Central Michigan University Strength and Conditioning Department has summer 2019 unpaid academic internship opportunities available for undergraduate and graduate degree seeking students. These academic internship positions are designed to engage current students actively seeking a career in Strength & Conditioning with the day-to-day operations of a Division I weight room. Students will be exposed to all aspects of a NCAA Division I Strength & Conditioning program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with the supervision and training of ALL varsity programs that are on campus, completing weekly requirements set out with a hands on weekly curriculum, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties, and teaching techniques in a wide variety of lifts. These intern positions provide the opportunity to gain valuable experience while working in a dynamic, educational based, and collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates will be certified or actively pursuing certification from the CSCCa, NSCA and/or USAW. Interns should be prepared to work up to 40 hours/week, which may include days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays. All interns will receive instruction in, and be required to comply with, NCAA and Central Michigan University rules, regulations and policies.
