The Rice University Football Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER coaches for the Fall of 2019. The internship is scheduled to begin July 31, and will run through the end of the Fall semester. This is an unpaid position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable professional recommendation for advancement in the field of strength & conditioning.
Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of in-season training for the Rice Football team, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection, as well as participation in a vigorous internship curriculum. Interns will also have the opportunity to assist in the design and implementation of various Olympic Sports training programs.
Prerequisites include CPR/AED Certification, as well as completion of, or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
