Grand View University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is a 12 month position starting Fall 2019 with a two year commitment. Tuition waiver and a monthly stipend are included. The Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist the Strength and Conditioning Staff with all aspects of training for all sports. The qualified candidate will be assigned sports based on background and experience.

Other responsibilities include, daily maintenance and upkeep of facility, assist in mentoring and evaluating interns, providing nutritional counseling/assessment for student-athletes, lead speed/agility sessions, etc.

Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Kinesiology or Exercise Science related field. Possess or be working toward the SCCC through the CSCCa or the CSCS through the NSCA. CPR, First Aid and AED certification required. Candidates must also possess strong communication skills and have the ability to effectively work with student athletes, coaches, and support staff. Skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel is recommended.
