The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Program is accepting applications for the 2019 fall internship program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with all aspects of training for 16 intercollegiate athletic teams, daily facility set-up and maintenance, assisting with instruction and skill demonstration during training sessions for all teams, data collection and entry using varying monitoring systems, and completion of internship curriculum over the course of the semester.
Applicants must have current CPR/AED certification and be certified or working toward certification with the CSCCa (SCCC) and/or NSCA (CSCS). Previous experience at the college level is preferred. Candidates must have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and demonstrate strong commitment to aligning with the philosophy and principles of the department.
This is an UNPAID position. However, the candidate(s) will receive experience working in a division 1 collegiate setting, gain knowledge of training methodology and program design, and the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. Interns will also receive college credit if applicable.
