Queens University of Charlotte Sports Performance is accepting applications for fall 2019 internships.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with all aspects of training for 31 intercollegiate athletic teams, daily facility set-up and maintenance, assisting with instruction and skill demonstration during training sessions for all teams, and the completion of internship curriculum over the course of the semester.
Applicants must have current CPR/AED certification and be certified or working toward certification with the CSCCa
(SCCC) and/or NSCA (CSCS). Previous experience at the college level is preferred. Candidates must have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and demonstrate strong commitment to aligning with the philosophy, mission, and vision of the Queens Sports Performance department.
This is an UNPAID position. However, the candidate(s) will receive experience working in a Division II collegiate setting, gain knowledge of training theory, application, and program design, and have the opportunity to be assigned complete responsibilities for a team or teams following the completion of appropriate certification. Interns will also receive college credit if applicable.
