The Winthrop University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant (GA).
Winthrop University is a NCAA Division I University, located in Rock Hill, SC.
This position provides a tuition grant, as well as, a $3500 stipend per semester (fall & spring).
You must be accepted into the Winthrop Graduate School prior to employment. The position is subject to a Winthrop University background check.
Intended start date is Aug 24th, 2020.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: All aspects of the strength and conditioning programs, including assigned sports’ programming and implementation, weight room cleaning/maintenance and monitoring of athlete fueling station.
Successful applicants should possess the ability to effectively teach and execute proper technique of lifts and drills.
Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, or related field is required
-Have already obtained certification from CSCCa (SCCC) or NSCA (CSCS)
-Possess CPR/AED and First Aid certification
-Experience with working in an NCAA/NAIA weight room
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Strength & Conditioning related technology is encouraged.
