Arizona State University Sports Performance Department-Olympic Sports is seeking VOLUNTEER interns for Summer 2021, June 7th - July 30th. Qualified candidates would work with Olympic Sports across our multiple facilities. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; daily weightroom maintenance, assisting with supervision and execution of strength and speed training programs specific to power/speed athletes, proper movement preparation, execution of proper motivational techniques, and most importantly developing an understanding of the health, safety, and wellness of collegiate athletes. Potential candidates must posses a strong work ethic and character, great energy and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective organization and communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS: Currently pursuing/completed bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach and pursuing CSCCA or NSCA certification(s), and proficient in technology.
COMPENSATION: This is an un-paid volunteer position. Interns will have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. If accepted, applicants will be required to complete and clear a background check.
