Chair, MSCC

Jami is currently the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at the University of Texas at Dallas. Previously having served at the University of Memphis in 2014 and also Ole Miss Strength and Conditioning Departments since 2005. Before Ole Miss, she was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Alabama for three years. She began her strength and conditioning career as an assistant at Texas Christian University in 1999. During her 16 year tenure in the profession, Jami has trained and developed multiple SEC championship and NCAA tournament teams including 2 Women's College World Series teams and several Men's and Women's Tennis Sweet Sixteen appearances. However, she is most proud of the mentoring opportunities provided by this great profession. It is a great privilege to not only be tasked with maximizing a student's athletic potential, but it is also a great responsibility to encourage, be a good example, and guide young people through both good and tough times. Jami was a volleyball student-athlete at Dallas Baptist University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, and then earned her Master's degree in Human Performance while at the University of Alabama. Jami would like to extend many thank you's: -First of all, thanks to God for allowing her the opportunity to make a career out of something she truly loves! -Thanks to Ben Pollard for being a great mentor and friend. -Thanks to the many coaches from TCU, Alabama, and Ole Miss for helping her through teaching and learning moments, celebrations, and consolations. -And thanks to her staff at Ole Miss, for the pleasure of working with them each day.
