Reese Bridgman

Reese Bridgman received his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, after starting his degree work and playing football at Southwest Mississippi Community College. He then earned his Master's degree at Texas A. & M. University-Commerce. He held dual role positions as strength and conditioning coach, football coach, track coach and PE/Exercise Science Instructor at Texas A. & M. University-Commerce, Georgia Southwestern College, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, East Central Community College, and The Apprentice School. Coach Bridgman also served as a strength and conditioning coach and football coach for the Orlando Predators and the Milwaukee Mustangs of the Arena Football League.

Coach Bridgman became the first full-time strength and conditioning coach at the University of Central Florida in 1997 and served as the head strength and conditioning coach at UCF thru 2003. While at UCF, Coach Bridgman supervised a program that grew from one full-time coach and a 3000 square foot weight room to five full-time coaches and an 11,000 square foot, state-of-the art facility. During his tenure at UCF, the Golden Knights won all-sports trophies in the Atlantic Sun Conference in men's and women's sports and had their first winning football seasons at the D1 level.

Bridgman became the first full-time strength and conditioning coach at Norfolk State University in 2008, and he currently serves as their Assistant Athletic Director for Strength and Conditioning. While at NSU, the Spartans have won the MEAC all-sports trophy for men's sports each year that he has been there, and they have won conference championships in both football and men's basketball for the first time in the history of NSU athletics at the FCS and D1 levels.

Coach Bridgman has worked with 28 student-athletes that have gone on to spend time on active rosters with NFL, NBA and MLB teams.

Coach Bridgman would like to thank his parents, the late Dr. E. A. Bridgman and Jane Bridgman, and his wife, Kelly Bridgman, for their support. He would also like to thank all of his Assistants, GA's, and Interns for their hard work, and he would like to thank the sport coaches that he has worked with. Coach Bridgman would especially like to thank all the student-athletes over the years that have allowed him to coach them.
