Jason Dierking

Assistant

Jason Dierking is in his third year as Director of Sports Performance at the University of Louisville. He served the previous thirteen years as the Assistant Director at Louisville. In this role, he works directly with men's and women's swimming.

Prior to Louisville, Dierking served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Indiana University from 2001-2005, getting his start there as a graduate assistant strength coach from 1998-2001. During the summer of 2000, Dierking worked as the strength and conditioning intern at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York, where he helped train athletes preparing for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Dierking earned his master's degree in exercise physiology from Indiana University and a bachelor's degree in adult physical fitness from Eastern Kentucky University, where he also played baseball for the Colonels.

Dierking holds the MSCC and CSCS certifications and is a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach, as well as a Functional Movement Screen Certified Specialist.

Jason is a competitive runner and triathlete and is both a marathon finisher and a two-time Ironman triathlon finisher.
