Jeremy Scott

Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

Jeremy began his career in the strength and conditioning field as an intern in the summer of 1996 with Penn State Football. Following that summer, he volunteered for a few months before becoming a graduate assistant in 1997.

Jeremy was promoted to full-time assistant strength and conditioning coach and speed coach for Penn State football the following year. Jeremy was also head strength coach for Penn State Boxing from 1997-1999. The team finished in the top 3 in the country all 3 years and had three boxers win individual national championships.

During Jeremy's 15 years at Penn State, the football team has won two Big Ten Titles and made 11 bowl appearances. He has helped train 14 1st team All-Americans and 40 1st team All Big Ten players. He has also trained over 100 players for the NFL combine and NFL camps, including the number one overall pick in 2000, Courtney Brown, in Penn State's NFL combine prep program.

He was a Varsity Strength and Conditioning Coach at Princeton University in 2012. Jeremy served as the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach for Temple University Football from 2013-2017.

Jeremy is currently the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Baylor University Football Program.

Jeremy's greatest career highlights include Joe Paterno's 300th and 400th wins; Larry Johnson's 2,000 yard season and Heisman run; and Paul Posluszny's winning of the Butkus and Bednarick Awards.

Aside from football, Jeremy's most important achievement was the opportunity to develop a strength and conditioning program for The Marine Barracks Company B Body Bearers. He would like to thank all military personnel serving throughout the world and those who have given their lives for our freedom.

A native of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Jeremy received his B.S. in Fitness Management from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and his M.Ed. in Health Education from Penn State.

Jeremy would like to thank his wife Cory, daughter Emma,son Evan, parents Wayne and Linda, and sisters Angeleigh and Sarah for their unconditional love and support. He is also thankful to John Thomas, Joe Paterno, Craig Stoddard, Jason Gallucci, Brad Pantall, and everyone else he has worked with and communicated with over the past 23 years.
