He received both his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology and his master's degree in Coaching/Sports Administration from his alma mater.

Caton would like to thank his wife, Adriene and their three children, Kade (10), Weslie (8), and Kole (5). God has truly blessed him and he is thankful everyday.

He would also like to thank Charlie Dudley for giving him his start in this profession, Kevin Yoxall for helping to develop a young coach and helping him to get that first job, David Abernathy, Pat Ivey and Josh Stoner, Duane Hall, Kaz Kazadi for helping grow me as a Christian and professional, Coach Kevin Wilson for the opportunity at Indiana, his current staff that he works with at Indiana, and all the coaches I have called family over the years

Caton has a deep love for the profession of Strength and Conditioning and always coaches with integrity and a sense of family. He believes that the athletes and young coaches should be nurtured and cared for as you would your own children and is proud to call the many coaches and athletes that he has worked with family.
