Coach Paul Chapman has been the Director of Strength and Conditioning for the University of New Hampshire for the past 3 years. While at UNH, Chapman has enjoyed recent success. He was part of a 10-3 football squad that won the 2004 A-10 North Division Championship and made it to the national quarterfinals of the I-AA football playoffs. In 2003, the University of New Hampshire ice hockey program was named the Hockey East Champions and National Champion Runner-ups.
Prior to UNH, he was the Director of Strength and Conditioning at the University of North Dakota from 1992 until 2002. During his tenure, Coach Chapman was part of a winning tradition at UND: the football team was the Division II National Champions in 2001; the men's ice hockey team won Division I National titles in 1997 and 2000; and the women's basketball team was the Division II National Champion in 1997, 1998, and 1999.
Chapman is a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association, he is a USA-Weightlifting certified level 1 coach; and he is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Paul was the state director of the National Strength and Conditioning Association in North Dakota from 1991-95. He has also authored six publications related to strength and conditioning.
Chapman is a graduate of Dickinson State University in North Dakota with a B. S. degree in Biology. He went on to earn an M. S. degree in Exercise Science from the University of North Dakota.
As a collegiate athlete, Coach Chapman was inducted into the Dickinson State Athletic Hall of Fame for his efforts on the gridiron. He was a three-time All-American football player and played two seasons in the Canadian Football League.
Paul is married to Kimberly Chapman, and they have two children, Tyler and Brittani.
