The Valdosta State University (Valdosta, GA) Strength and Conditioning staff is currently seeking 3-5 intern strength and conditioning coaches to contribute to the program during the Summer 2021 Semester. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the full-time staff with training Valdosta State’s 14 varsity athletic programs in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that will offer valuable knowledge and exposure assisting the coaching staff in all aspects of the strength and conditioning program. Interns will receive hands-on experience, have the opportunity to earn academic credit, and earn potential to recommendations for future career opportunities.
Candidates must possess a strong work ethic, character, effective organization and communication skills, and the desire to work in the field of strength and conditioning field as a future professional. Previous coaching experience in a strength & conditioning setting along with SCCC, CSCS, or USAW Level 1 certifications are preferred, but not required. The internship program will begin on Monday June 7th.
