Part-time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach-Olympic Sports

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is currently accepting applications for a part-time Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach with Olympic Sports. The positioning is an 11 month contract with no benefits.
Responsibilities include:

- Assisting staff strength and conditioning coaches with all Olympic sports
- Program design and implementation of training programs for assigned teams
- Administering and designing rehab and recovery programs
- Tracking with performance testing equipment as well as GPS systems
- Facility maintenance and upkeep
- Assisting in intern management and development

Required qualifications include: must pass a background check; current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications; current CSCCa-SCCC or NSCA-CSCS certification.

Preferred qualification include: degree in an exercise science related field ; relevant experience in the Strength and Conditioning field as a student or graduate assistant; previous collegiate strength and conditioning internship and/or coaching experience; experience in program design; experience as a collegiate athlete; experience with women’s basketball and track and field; Microsoft office proficiency; ability to work in a dynamic environment and be a positive member of a team; and a strong work ethic, exceptional communication skills, a passion for the profession, as well as, commitment to the student-athletes.
