Southwestern University seeks candidates for the position of Strength and Conditioning Coach responsible for the development and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for twenty varsity sports in cooperation with the respective head coaches. This position is responsible for supervising training sessions, providing student-athletes with proper guidance and training techniques, assist with injury rehabilitation in conjunction with the athletic training staff, and designing effective, sport-specific programming. This is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position with benefits.

A bachelor’s degree is required with a master’s degree preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience as a CSCS certified Strength & Conditioning Coach; hold a current Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS) from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) or the Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) certification from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa); possess current instructor credentials in CPR, First Aid, and AED. The successful candidate is expected to comply with departmental guidelines set forth by Southwestern University, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, American Southwest Conference and the NCAA Division III.
