Autumn Lockwood joined the Eagles Sports Performance staff in August 2022 as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach — Seasonal Associate. Prior to joining the Eagles, Lockwood was the Director of Sports Performance at University of Houston where she worked primarily with the Women’s Soccer and Women’s Basketball teams (2021-22). While she was there, she oversaw both programs annual programming in regard to performance and recovery. She was also responsible for the Women’s Basketball nutrition and supplementation. Before her time at University of Houston, Lockwood was a part of the ETSU Strength and Conditioning staff starting in the summer of 2018 as a graduate assistant. She has worked primarily with the men's and women’s basketball teams. Upon graduation with her master’s in 2020, Lockwood became the first woman in ESTU history to hold a full-time strength and conditioning position. While she was at ETSU, she organized all sports performance and nutritional needs to for the Women’s Basketball program. During her time with ETSU, she also worked with the Atlanta Falcons as a Bill Walsh Fellow during OTA’s and Rookie Camp in Flowery Branch, GA in 2019. Prior to becoming a graduate assistant, Lockwood worked at the University of Nevada Las Vegas with the Football program (2017-18). She developed and implemented nutrition packets for preseason, in-season, and off-season schedules based on body composition and goals. Lockwood also implemented, demonstrated, and helped coach training methodologies, including Triphasic Training, Velocity Based Training, and Conjugate training for members of the UNLV football team. Before her time with the UNLV football team, Lockwood got her start at the University of Arizona where she was responsible for running the in-season Arizona Cheer team’s warm up and strength training three times a week (2016). She assisted with all the Olympic sports teams, primarily, soccer, volleyball, baseball, women’s basketball, softball, swim and dive, and gymnastics. She was also responsible for the daily weight room set up and break down. Lockwood is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), a certified yoga instructor (Spring 2023) and has certifications in adult first aid, CPR, and AED. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology from the University of Arizona in 2015. Lockwood was also a member of the University of Arizona women’s soccer team from 2012-2014. She received her master’s degree at East Tennessee State University.
