The STACK Sports Performance program employs a comprehensive High Performance methodology used with elite athletes incorporating expanded strength & power, mobility & functional programming, recovery & nutrition, and extensive sports medicine integration. Our facilities serve a diverse group of athletes ranging from professionals and Olympic athletes, to high school and younger developing youth athletes, through hard core fitness enthusiasts and weekend warriors.

A Sports Performance Director leads the performance team and has to create a culture and team to get results. Hard work, intense coaching, managing your team, blazing a path to educate and teach, and a lead from the front mentality are all part of the task. It's a demanding position that will provide opportunities for professional and personal growth, financial stability and, earnings opportunities with program success.

In addition to leading the coaching staff, you will be an integral part of the management and business team, helping the business succeed. You will be asked to develop an understanding of the operational and marketing side of the business, and learn new areas of business and facility management.

Our professional High Performance Consulting services have grown significantly with professional athletes and organizations in the US and internationally. We are providing sports performance and sports medicine services to international athletes and Olympic Committees and continue to work around the globe. As an SPD in the Velocity network you may receive the opportunity to work with athletes playing in and preparing for the NFL, NBA, MLB and the Olympics.

Job Requirements

You need talent and experience coaching movement & strength, as well as a driving passion for the sports performance field and helping athletes of all ages and levels. This is not an entry level position. We're looking for a demonstrated high energy, charismatic training approach along with a 5 year track record of motivating, inspiring and training middle and high school student athletes. History working with elite or college athletes is very preferred, and experience working with teams and groups is essential.

Experience needed include:

  • Programming and delivery of strength and power
    training; speed, agility, movement sessions; and
  • Management experience of a strength & conditioning
    staff, as well as a history of teaching/developing
    younger coaches
  • Demonstrable leadership experience
  • A Master's degree in Kinesiology or other sports
    related field
  • Communication across multiple fields including health care and physical therapy
  • Experience with sports medicine
  • Certification as SCCC, CSCS or equivalent and USAW
