Basehor Linwood High School is looking for a strong individual to both run the Strength and Conditioning program and teach the high school strength and conditioning curriculum. Basehor-Linwood is locating just outside of the Kansas City area. Basehor-Linwood currently has an established facility and program with a 8,000 square foot wellness center that is fully equipped with Hammer Strength equipment and PLAE flooring with in-laid platforms. The current program works with all students of the community as well as all of the schools sports. There also may be a possibility of additional coaching opportunities. This is a full time teaching position to start in the summer of 2017 with the summer strength and conditioning programs.


  • Teaching assigned courses and performing assigned duties within PE department
  • Writing and Implementation of daily workouts for all students and all student athletes
  • Development of before and after school offseason programs
  • Coordinate with all coaches in development of individualized programs for each sport
  • Maintain the schools 7-12 summer program
  • Other Assigned duties


  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team member
  • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive strength and conditioning program
  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, coaches, and other staff


  • Must obtain and maintain a current Kansas teaching license, CSCCa or CSCS Certification, and CPR/AED and First Aid certification
