Angelo State University is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 2019 Spring semester. The primary responsibilities of this position are to design and implement efficient and scientific training programs for assigned teams under the approval of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the Strength and Conditioning Staff in all aspects of training for all sports, program administration, working directly with student athletes to teach proper lifting technique, assess and document progress of the student athletes during training, and maintain a clean, sanitized weight room. As a graduate assistant within ASU Athletics, you are expected to maintain professionalism, the Angelo State University graduate assistant minimum GPA of 3.0, and must be working towards a post-baccalaureate degree. Minimum Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field
-Apply and be accepted into graduate school at ASU
-Possess or be working towards a nationally accredited certification (SCCC or CSCS)
-MUST be CPR/AED certified
Preferred Qualifications: -A nationally accredited certification (SCCC, CSCS, USAW)
-Personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport
-At least one (1) internship in the strength and conditioning field at the collegiate setting
Position includes a tuition waiver and stipend.
